(Senior) Software Engineer Java - Online Services Framework (f/m/d)

We as Volkswagen Infotainment GmbH aim to act as a technical expert for selected features and development activities in the context of connected cars.
You will be part our international and highly motivated agile team with focus on middleware of the Volkswagen operating system in the area of Vehicle & Cloud Platform. We will shape the automotive future with you.
You are responsible for developing SW-components in an international development team on one of the most central parts of automotive connectivity infrastructure: the core services. Core services enable the online services to connect the car to backend services and the internal car communication. Consistent object-oriented software design and security are key features of core services components. A clear and understandable interface has to be provided to online services as well as to other ECUs in the vehicle system.
The software you will help to create will be used in multiple embedded Online-ECUs across current VW Group automotive projects and by numerous other developers.

Your tasks include:
Develop software features for Core Services (incl. common protocols) in Java
Create clear object oriented design to ensure security and robustness within our products
Cooperate on API design to ensure maximum developer experience
Work with different roles on equal terms within a multidisciplinary international Development Team as a part of an Agile Release Train (ART)
Build high quality Java components from first design sketch to deployment of unit and component tested jars
Assess, plan & develop based on concepts and requirements in close interaction with other development teams constantly improving cross-team interaction
Evaluate your software modules in close collaboration with the Architecture and System Teams
Agile Development according to the SCRUM and SAFe methodology
Your profile:
Successfully completed studies in the field of computer science, security science, electrical engineering, physics or comparable studies
Several years of experience in software engineering & SW development (preferred is knowledge in Java)
Profound experience with software design (UML) and systematic automated testing
Profound experience with version management tools (preferred is knowledge in Git)
Experience with Jira is a plus
Experience with embedded systems in an automotive environment
Profound experience in development in the agile framework
Analytic skills, teamwork and self-organized way of working
Self-driven and ready to take a challenge
Fluent English language skills (oral and written), German language skills are a plus
