As a member of our international and highly motivated agile team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to Vehicle & Cloud Platform projects. Together we will be shaping the automotive future.
You will take on the important role of verifying and validating managed and secure vehicle-to-backend communication within the innovative field of Project MAGIC. This is an acronym for Management, Authentication and Generic Internet Communication. MAGIC supports all online-capable runtime environments and all online use cases, and delivers its enabler products into all vehicle platforms.
While designing, developing and performing system integration tests across multiple Online-ECUs and cloud instances, you will contribute to current and upcoming VW Group automotive projects at the location Bochum.

Your tasks include:
Develop, perform and maintain integration- and software qualification tests with focus on vehicle-to-backend communication
Design and implement automated test suites using our internal test automation frameworks (mainly in Python)
Process testing results into meaningful conclusions, share reports with internal project management as well as external stakeholders
Document, perform root-cause-analysis and follow up on identified failures
Collaborate closely with internal and external development teams, requirements engineers and architects
Contribute towards enhancing existing test automation as well as improving our testing strategies
Work on a level playing field within a multidisciplinary international development project as a part of an Agile Release Train (ART)
Your profile:
- Successfully completed studies in the field of computer science, security science, electrical engineering, physics or comparable studies
Several years of experience in test- and/or software-engineering
Solid understanding of communication protocols and/or cybersecurity technologies (such as PKI, TLS, OAuth2, OpenID etc.)
Passion for test automation, knowledge in one or more automation frameworks incl. programming skills in Python and/or C++
Demonstrated experience in working in the agile framework
Analytical skills, teamwork and self-organized way of working
Understanding of the product development cycle, technical requirements and project management
Fluent English language skills, good German language skills are a plus
You have a good understanding of complex processes and structures
